A Brief History

Where We Began

In 1955, Bernard Perlman began the first state regulatory agency devoted exclusively to the oversight of charitable activities. His expertise became the basis for a private law practice, Perlman & Perlman LLP, which continues to provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to the philanthropic community.

In 1991, responding to greater state-level enforcement, Perlman & Perlman launched the first dedicated State Registration and Compliance service, catering to over 500 clients, including nonprofits, professional fundraisers, fundraising consultants, and commercial co-venturers.

Where We are Now

In 2019, to address the growing needs of state fundraising registration clients, Perlman & Perlman LLP launched the Perlman Compliance Group (“PCG”). PCG offers expanded services and resources to be even more efficient, saving our clients time and money. We continue to take advantage of the Perlman and Perlman legal team to enhance service delivery and, when necessary, to negotiate with regulators. Our well-trained team of specialists, associates, and support staff renews their commitment to providing our clients with unsurpassed customer service and meticulous attention to all their regulatory needs.

Thank you to all our loyal clients who have made PCG possible;

A premiere service ready and excited to satisfy all your charitable fundraising compliance needs.
